His Grace Mons. Paul Cremona O.P. and members of Kummissjoni Djocesana Zghazagh visiting Melbourne

On Monday 7th July 2008 the Maltese Community Council of Victoria held a reception in honour of His Grace Mgr. Paul Cremona O.P., Archbishop of Malta. Mgr. Cremona visited Melbourne on his way to Sydney to attend World Youth Day 2008.  Accompanying him were a group of youth from Kummissjoni Djocesana Zghazagh (KDZ) from Malta with Fr. Savio Vella.

This event started with a celebration of the mass at St. Paul’s chapel at Parkville. At the end of the service Mgr. Cremona handed out a small wooden cross to the members of the congregation as a symbol of World Youth Day 2008.

Afterwards a reception was held at the hall at the Maltese Community Centre in Parkville. Special guests, including Ms. Angele Azzopardi, Maltese Consul General Melbourne and members of the Maltese Community attended this function.
