The Maltese Prayer Group meets every Monday morning at St. Peter Chanel on Ballarat Road, Melbourne under the direction of Martin and Carmen Sultana. The last prayer session that was held in December included a Christmas pageant that was characterised by a number of Maltese traditional customs. During the ceremony the members of the Maltese community donated a number of gifts (including food hampers) that were to be distributed to under privileged people in the community. The generosity of the people was great!

Fr. Carmelo Borg, the Spiritual Director of the Prayer Group delivered a sermon in which he spoke about the Christian meaning of Christmas. His services and support throughout the year were highly acknowledged. He was also presented with a lovely gift of $1,000.

The ceremony was followed by a cordial social get-together.
