The Xaghra / Qala Associations in Australia (Victoria) held a dinner dance in honour of Mons. Carmel Refalo during his recent visit to Australia. Mons. Refalo is an ex- archpriest of Qala and currently holding the position of archpriest in the village of Xaghra.

The dinner dance was held at the Luxor Function Centre. About 3 hundred guests attended this function. Mons. Refalo was given a very heart-warming reception. The entertainment provided by a D.J. and a brass band generated a lively and nostalgic atmosphere.

Mons. Refalo’s speech was very touching. He was quite impressed by the hospitality of the members of the community both in Sydney and in Melbourne. This pastoral visit has certainly etched a deep connection in his heart and vice-versa. The Xaghra / Qala Associations presented him with a Mass Kit at the end of the function.
